At the 2014 International Mathematical Olympiad the Bulgarian team won three silver medals, one bronze medal and two honorable mentions. Victor Radivchev (12th grade, Varna Mathematical High School), Lyuben Lichev (11th grade, Pleven Mathematical High School) and Nguyen Chi Zung (12th grade, Sofia Mathematical High School) won silver medals, Pavlena Nenova (12th grade, Sofia Mathematical High School) won a bronze medal, and Stanislav Chobanov (12th grade, Varna Mathematical High School) and Denitsa Markaova (10th grade, Sofia Mathematical High School) got honorable mention. Victor was only one point short for the golden medal.

The Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics and the Union of Bulgarian Matematicians hosted the official award ceremony for the Bulgarian medal winners at the international Australian Mathematics Competition in 2012 and 2013.
Guest of honor at the event was the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rosen Plevneliev, and Her Excellency Mrs Jenny Bloomfield, Australia's Ambassador to Bulgaria. The celebration was also attended by the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Academician Stefan Vodenitcharov.

The Bulgarian medalists of the international Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) for 2012 and 2013 will be bestowed their prizes at the official Award Ceremony to be held in the building of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) (1, 15th November Str., Sofia). The event will be held on April 22, 2014 (Tuesday) at 17:00 in the Big Hall of BAS.
A guest of honor of the Award Ceremony will be the President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Mr. Rosen Plevneliev.
