The 34th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad (BMO 2017) took place from 2 to 7 May 2017 in Ohrid, Macedonia. Bulgarian contestants wonfour gold and two silver medals. In team ranking Bulgaria stands on the first place receiving 226 points (out of 240). 

The remarkable success of the Bulgarian team is the result of the efforts of the contestants, their teachers and leaders. Leaders of the team are all from IMI-BAS - Assoc. Prof. Ivaylo Kortezov, Dr. Dragomir Dragnev, and Prof. Oleg Muskarov. Here are the names of our medalists:

Violeta Naydenova, gold medalist
Kiril Bangachev, gold medalist
Konstantin Garov, gold medalist
Atanas Dinev, gold medalist
Ivan Ganev, silver medalist
Borislav Antov, silver medalist

Second and third places took the teams of Serbia (208 points) and Romania (182 points). In The 34th Balkan Mathematical Olympiad took part 20 teams from 19 countries: Albania, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Kazakhstan, Katar, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Montenegro, Saudi Arabia, Republic of Moldova, Serbia, Turkmenistan, Turkey and United Kingdom.
