The project “Serious Education Games as Contemporary Tools for New Educational Applications” includes the development of models, content and technological solutions for serious games, presenting the Thracian civilisation and culture. Educational materials, approved by the Ministry of Education and Science, sources from antique architecture and artefacts, discovered during archaeological excavations and research by Bulgarian scientists are used for the selection and curation of the content. The main goal of the game is to provide the learner with knowledge about the basic characteristics of the Thracian civilisation and culture, by exploring the rooms of the building discovered under the Ostrusha mound (The Valley of the Thracian Rulers, near Kazanlak). The visual design of the game is based on digitalised copies of Thracian tombs, heroons, sanctuaries and the armaments and treasures found in and outside.
