For the fourteenth time the High School Student Institute holds the Summer Research School of Mathematics and Informatics (LISH'14).

The Summer School will involve 40 students received certificates for their excellent and very good performance of the Student Section of the Spring Conference of the Union of Mathematicians in Bulgaria (UBM). They are from Burgas, Varna, Varna, Dimitrovgrad, Kardzhali, Montana, Pazardzhik, Plovdiv, Ruse, Sliven, Sofia and Shumen. For the first time this year the school has participants from abroad - three students and their teacher from Macedonia.

This summer, among the speakers at the school are alumni of the Students Institute, now students at prestigious universities worldwide - Anthony Rangachev, Catherina Velcheva, Kalina Petrova, Galin Statev, Momchil Konstantinov, Svetoslav Kolev, Peter Petrov. In addition to be speakers, they will assist the participants in developing their short projects.

During the first stage of the School will be held the training of our national Olympic team of Informatics. There are three medalists from the International Olympiad in Informatics in July 2014 in Taiwan - Encho Mishinev (gold medal), Christo Venev (gold medal) and Momchil Peychev (silver medal).

LISH'14 participants will present their projects developed during the second phase of the school at Uzana area of the Gabrovo Balkan, at "Prima S" hotel, from 23rd to August 28th.

The organizers have invited lots of teachers of mathematics and computer science, most of them - scientific project managers. Together, students and teachers will hold a Workshop in Mathematics, Workshop in Informatics and IT, respectively Seminar for teachers of mathematics and seminars for teachers of informatics and IT.

At Uzana we expect the Bulgarian participants at RSI'14 - Peter Gaydarov (OMG "Acad. Popov") and Hristo Stoyanov (SMG "Paisii Hilendarski") who have presented themselves excellently. The Research Science Institute - RSI, is an annual event of the Center for Excellence in Training (CEE) in Virginia, USA. It lasts six weeks and involves 75 secondary school students from the United States and various countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.

LISH is supported by the general sponsor, the America for Bulgaria Foundation, the founders of the High School Student Institute - the Union of Bulgarian Mathematicians, the Evrika Foundation, the International Foundation "Sts. Cyril and Methodius", the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics, BAS, and the American Foundation for Bulgaria.

Varna municipality contributes to the pleasant experiences of the participants.
