Great Success for our Mathematical Journal!

Our journal "Fractional Calculus and Applied Analysis" (FCAA) occupied leading positions in the ranking of Thomson Reuters in the subject categories for Mathematics.

With its first impact factor announced in July 2014 in „2013 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) Science Edition” - Thomson Reuters: FRACT CALC APPL ANAL, JIF (2013) = 2.974, it won the 4th place in the category "Mathematics, Interdisciplinary Applications" (of 95) and 5th place in "Mathematics, Applied” (of 250). Although FCAA has not been counted officially in category "Mathematics" (as its most suitable place for a journal on mathematical analysis), the data in JCR show that it would occupy there also the 4th place – immediately after "Acta Math-Djusholm" (founded in 1882 by the Mittag-Leffler Institute, and practically by Mittag-Leffler himself with the support of King Oscar II) and ahead of "Ann Math" (founded in 1874 in Princeton University, as “first-class journal of great importance for American mathematicians”). See data at :
http://www.math.bas.bg/~fcaa/FCAA-JCR-2013.pdf.

To our knowledge, this is the only journal on Mathematics in Bulgaria possesing impact factor. Since 2011 it is regularly indexed in ISI Web of Knowledge by Thomson Reuters and in Scopus by Elsevier, where it got also impact rang (SCImago): SJR (2013) = 2.106. This independent source confirms the success of FCAA among the most prestigious journals on mathematics and its applications.

The details on the journal are available at the IMI website, http://www.math.bas.bg/~fcaa. FCAA was founded in 1998 by Managing Editor Virginia Kiryakova and Founding Publisher - the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. After 13 successful volumes (1998-2010), since 2011 it became the first Bulgarian scientific journal in the joint publishing program of Springer-Verlag and Versita (now De Gryuter Open) for East Europe, and achieved wide popularity with both print version and electronic version at SpringerLink, http://link.springer.com/journal/13540. However, the journal continues to be entirely prepared and edited in Bulgaria, with the kind support of IMI – BAS and with ISSNp 1311-0454, ISSNe 1314-2224, registered in Bulgarian National Library. Member of Editorial Board are 44 among the World most distinguished scholars in the area of Fractional Calculus, and related topics of Mathematical Analysis, Differential Equations and Applied Sciences, authors of monographs and publications-bestsellers on these subjects. Recently, Issue No 4 of Volume 17 (2014) has appeared, and thus the published stuff for 2014 amounts at 1228 pages, to be extended since 2015 to 6 annual issues.
