On November 4, at 5:00 pm, in the Meeting Hall of IMI, Ben Nelson, the CEO of Minerva Schools, will deliver a lecture on the new methods of university teaching and studying.

Abstract:
How would you imagine your best possible university experience? Is it different from today’s universities?

Over the past two decades the Internet has not only encouraged people to question most of society's major institutions but provided superior alternatives or at least the means to organize against them. One notable exception has been in elite residential university programs. Despite a great deal of criticism for these institutions and many alternatives demand for places at these universities continues to climb. Are criticisms of universities not correct? Are the alternatives simple worse?

Join us as Ben Nelson, the CEO of Minerva Schools, will offer his perspectives on how higher education can be deep and meaningful while at the same time dynamic and engaging.
