Title: On the mathematical modelling of  microbial growth

Abstract: The dynamics of microbial growth and product synthesis is described by means of  bio-chemical reaction schemes, aiming an understanding of the underlying biochemical  mechanisms. The proposed reaction schemes lead to  systems of ordinary differential equations whose solutions  are fitted to the observed interval experimental data.
