The conference is organized by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.
The purpose of this event is to present the current state of the art in all areas of mathematics, in particular, in the following main sections:

  • Algebra, Logic, and Combinatorics;
  • Analysis, Geometry, and Topology;
  • Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics;
  • Mathematical Modelling (including Approximation Theory, Numerical Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Operations Research, and Biomathematics);
  • Mathematical Aspects of the Computer Science.

One of the main goals of the conference is to bring together Bulgarian mathematicians and computer scientists working all over the world. In this way, the event will enrich the relations between the mathematicians working in Bulgaria and the Bulgarian mathematical diaspora.

The conference will include several invited plenary talks, invited talks in sections, and research contributions. The time for the presentation of invited talks is 45 minutes including questions. The time for presentation of the research contributions is 30 minutes including questions.

If there are sufficient suggestions we plan to organize the poster session.

We encourage interested participants or groups to propose and organize short mini-symposia on specific topics within the conference. We recommend the organizers of the mini-symposia to follow the same rules for the talks as for the whole conference.

Up untill now the following mini-symposia have been approved by the Program Committee:

Serdica Mathematical Journal and Serdica Journal of Computing, published by the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, will organize special issues of papers presented at the conference. The authors willing to publish their work in one of these issues should submit it no later than August 31, 2014. All papers will go through the regular process of peer reviewing.
